Present letters patent appeal has been filed challenging the order dated 11.02.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.(C) no. 570/2025 titled "Deepali Yadav Vs. Jawaharlal Nehru University & Ors." whereby the learned Single Judge has not granted the ad interim relief of stay against the respondent university from taking any coercive action against the petitioner and disrupting her academic course during the pendency of the writ petition.

On 18.02.2025 when the appeal was taken up for admission hearing, considering the fact that the academic pursuit of a student of the respondentuniversity may be adversely affected and disrupted, this Court had in para 3 of the said order requested learned counsel representing the university to use The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
his good offices and convince the authorities of the university for permitting the appellant to apply for re-registration. At that stage, learned counsel for the appellant on instructions had made a statement that in case the university permits the appellant to re-register, all the requisite dues shall be paid by her.

Pursuant to the aforesaid request, learned counsel for the respondentuniversity has handed over the Bench a decision dated 19.02.2025 whereby after considering the case of the appellant sympathetically and on the persuasion of the learned counsel for the university, the competent authority has agreed to allow re-registration subject to the appellant applying through proper channel and upon payment of late fee and other dues. The university has also considered the said issue as a special case which may not be treated as a precedent.

Ms. Sumitra Choudhary, learned counsel for the appellant, on instructions of the appellant who is present in person states that she is ready and willing to abide by the aforesaid procedure subject to the outcome of the underlying writ petition.

In view of the aforesaid, we direct that the appellant shall apply for reregistration and tender the requisite fees including late fees and other dues as applicable and as determined by the competent authority within 10 days from date. The respondent-university is directed to ensure the portal for payment of fee etc. is opened and made accessible to the appellant for completion of the payment as aforenoted. Subject to such payment being deposited, the process of re-registration shall be completed by the respondent-university within three days thereof. Upon successful reregistration, the appellant would be permitted to attend classes. The aforesaid directions have been passed keeping in view the fact that the appellant is a young student pursuing in M.A. Politics from the respondent-university and to protect her academic pursuit. It is made clear that this order is passed in peculiar facts of the case and shall not be treated as precedent. It is also made clear that the aforesaid directions are interim in nature and would be subject to final outcome of the underlying writ petition pending before the learned Single Judge. The rights and contentions of the parties are left open.

The decision dated 19.02.2025, being confidential in nature, is directed to be kept in sealed cover under the custody of the Deputy Registrar (Appellate).

We record our appreciation of Mr. Vasant Rajasekaran, learned senior Standing Counsel for the respondent-university who, at the request of this Court, had acted altruistically beyond his brief to accommodate the peculiar situation of the appellant.

Accordingly, the appellant's appeal is disposed of with no order as to costs.
