This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking directions for release of the petitioner on parole for a period of three months on the ground that his son has to undergo surgery on 04.01.2020. 2.
The status report has been filed by the Inspector SOS-I, Crime Branch, Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Delhi to the effect that the medical documents attached with the petition are found to be genuine. The W.P.(CRL) 1/2020
costs of the treatment is also stated to be INR 10,000/- to 15,000/-. It is also confirmed that the petitioner's son met with an accident on 22.12.2019, though no MLC was prepared nor any information given to the nearest Police Station.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State insists for calling the nominal roll of the petitioner. However, in view of the status report filed by the State and in the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, this court considers it appropriate to grant parole to the Petitioner - Navdeep Kumar for a period of one week from the date of his release subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. Petitioner is further directed to surrender before the Jail Superintendent on expiry of period of this parole.
