By way of this petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal, which is in seisin of disputes between the parties.

The learned Arbitral Tribunal entered into the reference on 05.04.2021. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal was lastly extended by mutual consent for a period of six months from 23.08.2023. Mr. Abhishek Birthray, learned counsel, appears on advance notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought.

In view of the above and with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a period of one year from 23.02.2024. 5.
