O R D E R

% 24.01.2019 By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to undergo surgery of the cataract. A status report and nominal roll along with the latest medical status of the petitioner has been filed. As per the medical report the petitioner was last reviewed in the eye department of DDU on 15th January, 2019 and is to be admitted today i.e. on 24th January, 2019 and his surgery for cataract has been planned for 25th January, 2019. It is thus apparent that the cataract surgery of the left eye is to be performed tomorrow.

As per the nominal roll of the petitioner has been granted furlough twice which concession he had not misused. Considering the facts verified and that the petitioner has to undergo cataract surgery tomorrow, this Court W.P.(CRL) 203/2019

deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner for a period of two weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety bond of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent, Petition is disposed of.
