Petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against respondents for deliberate and wilful defiance of the specific directions contained in order dated 05.12.2024 passed by learned Coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 16834/2024.

By virtue of the above said order, the concerned SDM was directed to decide the rectification request of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date of such order. It is submitted that nothing has been done by the concerned SDM so far.

Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice and submits that the matter is under active consideration and the needful could not be done on account of the fact that the SDMs were put on additional duty for CONT.CAS(C) 261/2025 1 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. During course of arguments, learned counsel for respondents, after taking requisite instructions, submits that in any case, the above said rectification request shall be considered and disposed of within a period of four weeks from today.

In view of the aforesaid assurance learned counsel for petitioner, at the moment, does not press the present petition. He however, seeks liberty to revive the same, if nothing is done in the period, as undertaken today. 7.
