This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for the Sole Arbitrator to pass the Award.

Counsel for the respondent who appears on an advance notice submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended by this Court. He submits that the respondent has also made a counter claim in the arbitration proceedings. 3.

Having perused the contents of the petition and no objection expressed by the respondent, the time for making of the Award by the Sole Arbitrator is extended by a further period of one month with effect from 31.01.2019.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to cost.
