The present writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 14.08.2023 preferred by the petitioner for calling the General Body Meeting of the respondent. The petitioner has made the following prayer:- a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent to consider the Representation and convene a General Body Meeting to transact the agenda as requisitioned vide the Representation/Letter dated 14th August 2023 signed by 270 members addressed to the President of the SCBA, in a time framed manner; and b. Grant any other relief, order, or direction that this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case, including costs; and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. c. Pass any other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice.

The counsel for the petitioner stated that he the petitioner is practicing as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of India and has submitted a representations to the respondent which is signed by 270 members of the Bar Association to make a request to the respondent to arrange a General Body Meeting for the amendments of the Rules or By-laws to guarantee sufficient representation of women.

Mr. Adish C. Aggarwala, Senior Advocate who appeared on advance notice on behalf of the respondent stated that the General Body Meeting of the respondent shall be called preferably within a period of 02 months as per the representation dated 14.08.2023.

The counsel for the petitioner stated that in view of the submissions made by Mr. Adish C. Aggarwala, who is the president of the respondent, the present petition can be disposed of.

Accordingly, the present petition in view of the submissions made by Mr. Adish C. Aggarwala, president of the respondent is disposed of along with pending applications.
