% 16.07.2018 Through this petition, the petitioners seek direction to respondents No.1 to 4 against the violation of their fundamental rights as guaranteed by the Constitution of India.
The petitioners were provided protection in terms of the orders of this Court dated 16th July, 2018.
Mr.Rajesh Mahajan, the learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that the said order has been complied with and the petitioner have indeed provided protection through beat/division staff having jurisdiction. They have been directed to remain in regular touch with the petitioners. He further submits that till date nothing adverse has been noticed or come to the knowledge of the police.
Additionally, the police is directed to furnish telephone
numbers of three police officers of the said police station, one of whom shall be a lady officer. These shall be kept operational at all times, so that the petitioners could contact them in case of emergency. The learned Additional Standing counsel assures the court that as and when such intimation is received by the police either through telephone call or SMS, it shall be immediately attended to. The beat/division staff shall visit the petitioners at their place of residence on daily basis for a period of one month from today to ascertain safety and security. Any developments shall be assessed by the SHO of the area concerned and appropriate protection as may be required shall be granted to the petitioners.
No further orders are required at this stage. The petition is disposed-off in the above terms.
