Heard learned counsel representing the respective parties. 2.

The Public Interest Litigation Petition has been filed with the prayer to issue appropriate direction to the Table Tennis Federation of India for implementing the National Code Against Age Fraud in Sports (hereinafter referred to as 'Code') across the States and Union Territory Units of the Federation.

The averments made in the writ petition prima facie appear to be general in nature and except for referring to certain provisions brought out by particular unit of the Federation in a prospectus at the time of organising a table tennis tournament, the petition lacks an empirical data so that the Court may form an opinion about the non-implementation or inadequate implementation of the aforesaid Code.

However, we are of the opinion that concerns raised in the instant petition merit examination by the Union of India. 5.

Accordingly, we dispose of this writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Union of India and the Ministry concerned for redressal of the grievances as depicted in the instant petition. 6.

For the said purpose, the petitioner shall make an exhaustive representation giving necessary empirical data and raising all these grievances therein.

Once any such representation with adequate material is filed by the petitioner with the Union of India and the Ministry concerned, the same shall be considered, and a decision thereon shall be taken by the competent authority of the Ministry within a period of 08 weeks from the date any such representation under this order is made by the petitioner. 8.

If, on consideration of the representation, any decision is taken by the Union of India in the concerned department, it shall also be ensured that the same shall be implemented so that the purpose of issuance of the Code is achieved.

The decision, which may be taken in the representation to be preferred by the petitioner in terms of this order shall also be communicated to the petitioner.

The present Public Interest Litigation Petition along with pending applications stands disposed of.
