The present Petition under Section 29A (5) read with Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Award by six months w.e.f. 12.02.2024.

It is submitted in the application that vide Order dated 15.09.2021, the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted.

The pleadings were completed on 14.02.2022. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was extended by the parties by mutual consent for a period of six months which expired on 13.08.2023.

Thereafter, on joint Application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 filed on behalf of the parties, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was further extended by six months upto 12.02.2024. 5.

Arbitral Tribunal by six months has been sought for concluding the final arguments and for writing the Award, to which, there is no objection by the counsel for the respondent.

Accordingly, in view of the submissions made, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is hereby extended by six months w.e.f. 12.02.2024, the date on which the mandate expired.

The present petition is disposed of.
