By way of present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR No. 0967/2021 dated 20.11.2021, registered at Police Station, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi and chargesheet filed under Sections 325/394/354/354A/506/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Issue notice. Mr. Naresh Kumar Chahar, learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Brief facts of the case are that due to some misunderstanding between the petitioner and the respondent no. 2 a complaint was lodged by respondent no. 2 which resulted into the present FIR. The chargesheet in this case had been filed before the concerned Court. Thereafter, with the intervention of well wishers and relatives, both the parties have amicably settled their all disputes.

The concerned Joint Registrar (Judicial) has already recorded the statements of the parties regarding the agreement entered into, voluntarily, between the parties on 12.03.2025.

Considering the same, the parties are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and Investigating Officer concerned. 8.

The complainant who is present before this Court states that she has no objection, if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and also the fact that the present matter is a family matter, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.
