The petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present petition, seeking the limited relief that his Statutory Petition under Section 117(2) of the Border Security Act, 1968 against the order dated 12.04.2024 convicting him with punishment of dismissal from service, be decided by the Competent Authority expeditiously. 2.

The petitioner contends that the Statutory Petition was filed way back on 17.10.2024, and has not been decided as yet. 3.

Issue notice.

Notice is accepted by Mr.Puneet Yadav, the learned counsel for the respondent.

He assures this Court that the Statutory Petition shall be decided within a period of eight weeks from today and the order thereon shall be communicated to the petitioner within the same period.
