This petition has been filed with the following prayers: "It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to:
a) Issue a Writ of Mandamus, order or direction directing the Respondents to treat the order dated 10.10.1997 relating to rationalization of posts and upgradation of pay scale to be applicable w.e.f. 01.01.1996 instead of 10.10.1997 and to further grant notional monetary benefits in replacement pay scale to the Petitioners with effect from 01.01.1996, as per ranks held by the Petitioners as on 01.01.1996 as held by the this Hon'ble Court vide its judgment dated 14.08.2024 in Rajendra Prasad & Ors. Versus Union of India & Ors. W.P.(C)1048/23; Ajit Singh & Ors. Versus Union of India & Ors. Versus Union of India & Ors. W.P.(C)1048/23; Ajit Singh & Ors. Versus Union of India & Ors. W.P.(C)1022/23; Shailesh Kumar & Ors. Versus Union of India & Ors. W.P.(C)2265/23 c) To pass any such direction as deemed fit by the Hon'ble Court in the facts and circumstances of the case."

In effect, the petitioner is seeking upgradation of pay scale from 01.01.1996 instead of 10.10.1997.

A perusal of the prayer clause would reveal that the petitioner is relying upon a judgment dated 14.08.2024 passed in three writ petitions. 4.
Appropriate shall be that the respondents shall treat this petition as a representation and decide the same in accordance with law and also keeping in view the dicta of this Court in the aforesaid three writ petitions within a period of twelve weeks from today.

If the petitioners are still aggrieved, liberty shall be with them to seek such remedy as available in law.

Accordingly, the petition, along with pending applications, if any, is disposed of.
