The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking parole for a period of three months in FIR Nos. 243/2007; 279/2007 and 609/2006, registered with Police Station Hari Nagar.

The application for parole was made on the ground that the petitioner was required to attend to his ailing mother and find a suitable match for his daughter. It is stated that the petitioner's mother had suffered a paralytic attack and was bed ridden. Since the petitioner did not receive any response to his application, he has filed the present petition. 3.

The status report has been filed, which indicates that enquiry had been made from the petitioner's wife and she had stated that she was worried about the marriage of their daughter and desired to find a suitable match for her. It is also confirmed that the petitioner's mother was 79 years of age, who was bed ridden and was suffering from various ailments. It is now

reported that the petitioner's mother expired two days ago, that is, on 21.01.2020 and was cremated at 05:00 p.m.

The nominal roll has been filed, which indicates that the petitioner has been released on parole on four previous occasions and furlough on seven occasions and there is no allegation that the petitioner had misused his liberty.

Considering the exceptional circumstances, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release. This would be subject to the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/-, with one surety for an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. The petitioner shall provide his contact details and ensure that he is reachable at all times. The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi and shall report to the concerned Police Station (Police Station Ali Pur) on every Monday of the calendar week, while on parole. 7.

The petition is disposed of.

A copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through the Jail Superintendent.
