O R D E R

CM APPL. 23185/2025 1.

The present application has been filed on behalf of the rd respondent/Railways, seeking directions as regards the order dated 23 July, 2024, passed by this Court.

Learned counsel appearing for the Railways submits that the present matter pertains to the General Minor Unit ("GMU") No. ADI-30, Platform No. 8/9, between pole nos. 9 & 10 at Ahmedabad Railway Station and also at GMU No. ADI-20 at Platform No. 4/5 between pole no. 13 and 14 at The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Learned counsel appearing for the applicant-Railways submits that in the Ahmedabad Railway Station, re-development work is to be carried out. 4.

Thus, it is submitted that it is not possible to comply with the directions issued by this Court vide order dated 23rd July, 2024, as the respondents are facing difficulties and constraints in view of the fact that redevelopment of Ahmedabad Railway Station is to be carried out. 5.

Consequently, it is submitted that relocation/demolition work is being carried out in a phased manner.

Learned counsel appearing for the Railways submits that if the kiosk in question of the petitioner is not removed by 31st May, 2025, it will not be possible to handover the platform to the contactor for construction work. Thus, it is submitted that the same will delay the entire process of redevelopment and will also cause huge loss to the exchequer. 7.

Considering the submissions made before this Court and on account of the re-development work of Ahmedabad Railway Station, it is directed that the kiosk in question, shall be removed from platform no. 8 and 9 by st May, 2025.

It is directed that the respondent shall relocate the kiosk of the petitioner in some other area.

Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager from the Ahmedabad Western Railway, within a period of two weeks, from today.

The concerned official shall ensure that the petitioner is relocated and provided a kiosk in the new location, so that the petitioner can run her kiosk for a further period, in terms of the order dated 23rd July, 2024. With the aforesaid directions, the present application is accordingly disposed of.
