% 31.01.2020 Petitioner has prayed for extension of his parole for a period of 90 days on the ground of his poor medical condition. Petitioner has granted parole on 09.10.2019 for a period of two weeks and thereafter his parole was extended twice for a period of three weeks. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for respondent/State has opposed this petition on the ground that petitioner is a habitual criminal and is involved in as many as 23 criminal cases and is the BC of police station Raj Park, Delhi an as per nominal roll, his behaviour is found not satisfactory. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for respondent/State has drawn attention of this Court to the status report dated 27th January, 2020 placed on record, wherein it has been stated that upon verification from Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, it has transpired that petitioner is being given treatment on OPD basis. further submits that petitioner is under treatment for diabetes for which he is not required to be hospitalized and he can be treated from jail only. Heard.

I have considered the rival submissions. I find that there is no ground to extend the parole of the petitioner. However, in the interest of justice, the concerned Jail Superintendent is directed to provide all medical care and treatment to the petitioner in jail and continue to provide OPD treatment from Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital or any other hospital as advised by the Medical Officer.
