The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the police authorities to provide security and protection to the petitioners.

The petitioners claim that they have married against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1 and particularly, against the wishes of respondent no.4.

It is also averred that since the petitioner no.1's family members are dissatisfied with the said marriage, they have been issuing threats to the petitioners. It is also averred that respondent no.2 (SHO, PS

Fatehpur Beri) has also been harassing the petitioners at the instance of the family members of petitioner no.1 (respondent no.4 in particular). 4.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, respondent no.3 (SHO PS Maidan Garhi) is directed to ensure that such protection is provided to the petitioners as he considers necessary. The petitioners shall also be provided the mobile number of the beat staff in order that petitioners can contact them in case of any eventuality.

Respondent no.1 is also directed to act on any complaint that may be filed by the petitioners. 5.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 6.
