Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 („BNSS‟) has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner with the following prayers: "1. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ thereby directing to respondent no.1 to take appropriate steps against the respondent no.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner.

ii. Issue writ in nature of Mandamus and to pass orders and direction against the respondent no.2 to 3 not to commit illegal criminal activities against the petitioner and his family W.P.(CRL) 611/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. members therein. The direction may be issue to respondent no.1 to take appropriate action and to register the criminal case against the respondent no.2 to respondent no.3 for carrying out the unauthorized and illegal demand or illegal steps against the petitioner.

iii. Any other order which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case may also passed in favour of the Petitioner."

Learned ASC for the State appears on advance notice. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that son of the petitioner had taken loan of Rs. 7,00,000/- from respondent Nos. 2 and 3. However, in order to recover the same, petitioner and his son are being harassed. He further submits that a written complaint in this regard was also filed with the Police on 02.01.2025, but no action has been taken.

Learned ASC for the State, on instructions, submits that appropriate action shall be taken in accordance with law within a period of four weeks on the basis of the complaint filed by petitioner and the complainant shall be duly intimated in this regard. He further submits that in the meantime, the phone number of the beat incharge is being shared with the petitioner to obviate apprehensions, if any.
