By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the petitioner seeks issuance of Writ in the nature of Mandamus granting him parole for a period of eight weeks in FIR No. 569/2000 registered at PS.: Preet Vihar, Delhi under Sections 364-A/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC). 2.
Learned ASC for the State, without adverting to the merits involved, submits that since the application was sent through pairokar via post, the same was put for consideration before the competent Authority recently on 25.02.2026. She submits that de hors the same, and considering the nature involved, an appropriate decision will be rendered thereto in forthcoming two weeks.
