Exemption is granted, subject to all just exceptions. 2.

The Petitioner shall file legible and clearer copies of exempted documents, compliant with practice rules, before the next date of hearing. 3.

Accordingly, the application stands disposed of. CRL.M.A. 23103/2025 (seeking exemption from surrendering and grant of parole for a period of four weeks for the present conviction year) 4.

The present application seeks the following reliefs: "(i) Allow this application and exempt the Petitioner from surrendering The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

before the concerned jail authorities, by granting him 2nd spell of parole for a period of two weeks commencing from 08.08.2025; and (ii) Pass any such order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice." [SIC] 5.

This Court by order dated 21st July, 2025, directed the Respondent to take a decision on the Petitioner's request for grant of third spell of furlough. In compliance with the aforenoted directions, indeed, furlough was granted by order dated 24th July, 2025, passed by the Jail Authorities. The said furlough is due to lapse today.

In the above background, the instant application has been filed seeking directions for grant of 2nd spell of parole for a period of four weeks. It is contended that the conviction year of the Petitioner is due to expire soon and accordingly, Rule 1212 of Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, which provides for a relaxation, may be take into account. To support this plea, reliance is placed on the decisions of this Court in Shashi Shekhar @ Neeraj v. State of NCT of Delhi (W.P.(CRL.) No. 3207/2023) and Kamal Tyagi v. State (W.P.(CRL.) No. 322/2019).

A request to this effect has already been submitted with the Respondent on 31st July, 2025. Considering the above, the application is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to take a decision on the Petitioner's application dated 31st July, 2025 for grant of parole within 10 days from today.

All rights and contentions of the parties are left open. 9.

While taking decision, the Respondent shall take into consideration the observations made hereinabove, including the decisions of this Court referred above and also the provisions for relaxation under Rule 1212 of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
