CORAM:

O R D E R

% 25.04.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner had sought a direction to the respondents to immediately upgrade its electrical fittings/installations and to replace the obsolete oil type transformers with the safe and environment friendly dry-type transformers. On the last date, Ms. Malvika Trivedi, learned counsel for the respondents, had sought time to get instructions, pursuant to which a statutory report has been filed, wherein the respondents have categorically stated that the replacement of „oil-type transformers‟ with „dry type transformers‟ has been considered in the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) of the respondents for „strengthening of sub transmission and distribution network‟, which work is likely to be awarded shortly to M/s L & T Ltd. Ms.Trivedi submits that the aforementioned work has now

already been awarded to M/s L & T Ltd on 18.03.2018 and a timeline of 18 months has been given to it to complete the said work, in respect of the petitioner‟s building and some other similarly situated buildings. Ms.Trivedi assures the Court that the respondents are taking steps to ensure that the work in the petitioner‟s building is executed on a priority basis.

In view of statement given by learned counsel for the respondent, the petitioner does not wish to press the writ petition any further.

The writ petition stand disposed of.
