O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 18/2020 This is a petition filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extending the time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award by a period of one year effective from January 31, 2020. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent has left it to the court to pass appropriate orders.

Noting the contents of the petition and the fact that the proceedings are at the arguments stage, this court deems it appropriate to extend the period for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award till December 31, 2020.

The petition stands disposed of.
