By way of the present petition, the petitioner challenges the order dated 11.01.2023, to the extent that the cost of ₹50,000/- was imposed upon him.

The order dated 11.01.2023 was passed on an application filed by the petitioner and one Mr. Rajesh Sharma, under Section 408 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (CrPC), seeking transfer of two criminal appeals to some other Court. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has taken this Court through the order dated 25.01.2023, passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court in a petition filed by Mr. Rajesh Sharma, challenging the order dated 11.01.2023, which is under challenge in the present petition.

The Coordinate Bench of this Court had modified the order dated 11.01.2023 to the extent that the cost was reduced to ₹250/- in terms of Section 408 of the CrPC. The accused was directed to deposit the cost before the Delhi State Legal Services Authority. 5.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 13/08/2024 at 11:40:19

the order dated 11.01.2023 is modified and the petitioner is directed to pay the cost of ₹250/-, to be deposited with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee.
