This intra-court appeal has been instituted challenging an order dated 16.02.2026 passed by the learned Single Judge whereby, W.P.(C) 8425/2022 filed by the appellant has been dismissed for the reason of availability of the remedy before the Central Administrative Tribunal ('CAT') under the relevant provisions of The Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (Act, 1985). 3.

Essentially, since the challenge made in the writ petition by the appellant was in relation to termination of his services, as such, in our considered opinion and also in view of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of L. Chandra Kumar v. Union of India, 1997 SCC OnLine SC 50, the appellant needs to approach the CAT for redressal of his grievance.

The appeal is thus, dismissed. We, however, provide that in case, any appropriate proceedings are instituted by the appellant before the CAT, the same shall be expedited and concluded as early as possible.
