In view of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.5017/2016 dated May 11, 2016 declaring the Telecom Consumers Protection (9th Amendment) Regulations, 2015 providing for compensation for call drops as ultra vires the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 and violative of the fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 14 and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India, the cause in the present Writ Petition does not survive.
