O R D E R

The petitioner is a senior citizen. He is aggrieved by inaction by the police on his repeated complaints made in the last two months. He submits that he and his wife are being relentlessly harassed by their daughter on atleast a dozen instances. The petitioner had called the Police on various dates, however, requisite steps have not been taken by them against the nuisance being created by their daughter.

Mr. Katyal, the learned APP for the State assures the Court that the matter shall be looked into by the SHO of the area concerned and the person concerned shall be duly sensitized about the rights of the petitioners and the imperative to maintain peace and to citizens immutable constitutional right to protection to live in accordance with law, and the same cannot be curtailed or otherwise encumbered by any individual.

The petitioner shall appear before the DCP concerned on 01.02.2019. The matter will be looked into and due measures shall be initiated to ensure that the petitioner and his wife are not harassed by anyone and requisite protection shall be provided to them.

The Investigating Officer and another senior Police Officer shall interact with the petitioner during the course of the day 5.

In view of the above, the petitioner does not press the petition any further.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed-off, however liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the court in case of exigent circumstances.
