Since Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Guiding Principles for Declaring City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks as Common Carrier or Contract Carrier) Regulations, 2020 have been repealed and the public notices issued thereunder have been withdrawn, the present writ petitions are disposed of as infructuous. 2.
The Petitioners are given liberty to file fresh writ petitions challenging the new regulations as well as any subsequent public notice issued or to be issued under the new regulations.

Liberty to challenge the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Meetings of the Board) Amendment Regulations, 2020 is also granted. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
