This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. CRL.M.A. 16793/2025 (Release of Balance interest Amount) 2.
The present application under Section 528 of the BNSS seeks the following prayers: - "1. Allow the present application and pass an Order directing the Registry of Hon'ble Delhi High Court to release the interest accrued on total amount of Rs. 10.5 Lacs over the time in favour of the Petitioner; and/or
2. Pass any other Order that this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

It is submitted that the disputes have been amicably resolved between the parties vide a settlement agreement dated 21.12.2024 and vide order dated 08.05.2025 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in CRL.M.C. 2467/2025, the FIR 123/2021, under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

It is pointed out that during the pendency of the above matter, the petitioner had deposited the amount with the worthy Registrar General of this Court in the following manner: - Date Mode Amount 22.03.2023;
In compliance of order dated 17.03.2023 DD No. 059360 issued by HDFC Bank Rs. 3,50,000/- 18.08.2023;
In compliance of Order dated 21.08.2023 DD No. 059812 issued by HDFC Bank Rs. 5,00,000/- 30.04.2024;
In compliance of Order dated 30.04.2024 DD No. 0582982 issued by Punjab National Bank Rs. 2,00,000/- Total Rs. 10,50,000/- 5.
The said amount has thereafter been released in favour of respondent no. 2 in the following manner: - Amount Vide Order Rs 2,00,000/- 21.08.2023 Rs 1,50,000/- 08.01.2023 Rs 1,50,000/- 30.04.2024 Rs 2,00,000/- 17.12.2024 Rs 3,50,000/- 04.02.2025 6.
It is pointed out that the matter has been settled with respondent no. 2 for the total sum of Rs. 10,00,000/- and the same has been paid to the latter. 7.

she has received the settlement amount in terms of the settlement and she has no objection, if the present application is allowed. 8.
In view of the above, the present application is allowed, interest accrued on the total amount of Rs.10,50,000/- deposited, during the pendency of the aforesaid proceedings, shall be released to the petitioner. 9.
The application is disposed of accordingly.
