The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:

"(i) pass an order, direction and / or any other appropriate writ directing the Respondents, their officers, nominees, representatives not to disturb the Petitioner to carry on his business at the site i.e. A1 corner, A-Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi;"

The area of Rajiv Chowk and Indra Chowk, Connaught Place, New Delhi has been declared a non-vending zone and therefore the prayer as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. 3.

The petition and pending application is accordingly dismissed. 4.

We, however, clarify that this would not preclude the petitioner from participating in the survey to be conducted by the Town Vending Committee (TVC).
