Fresh Status Report is handed over by Mr. Chaitanya Gosain, proxy counsel appearing for Mr. Rahul Mehra, SC (Crl.). Learned proxy counsel states that on 31.01.2019, the petitioner's missing daughter, Shama @ Sona, aged 22 years, had presented herself at P.S. Kalkaji along with her mother/petitioner and the respondent No.3, Rakesh Kumar Sahu. She had confirmed that she had embraced Hindu Religion and changed her name from Shama to Sona. She had got married to the respondent No.3 on 26.07.2018 at Ghaziabad, U.P. Subsequently, the said marriage was got registered at the Marriage Registration Office, Ghaziabad, U.P. on 26.07.2018. The certificates furnished by the petitioner's daughter and the respondent No.3 were verified by the police and found to be genuine. On 31.01.2019, Shama and her husband, Rakesh Kumar Sahu were produced before the court of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, South-East District, Saket where the learned Metropolitan Magistrate had interacted with both of them and they had confirmed that they had performed their marriage voluntarily. Presently, Shama @ Sona and her husband, respondent No.3 are residing at Madan Pur Khadar, New Delhi.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the State and the fact that Shama @ Sona had appeared with her mother/petitioner and the respondent No.3 at P.S. Kalkaji and made statement on 31.01.2019 and further in view of the fact that both of them are present today and confirm that they have got married of their own free will and volition, no further orders are required to be passed on this petition.

The petition is disposed of.
