CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 20.01.2020 1.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be given to respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner.

2.

The petitioner claims that he is the National President of Hindu Sena and has been working for the upliftment of poor as well as needy of society. He also states that he has been organizing protests and demonstrations in Delhi and other parts of the country and that has resulted in him being targeted by certain anti-national people in the society. The petitioner claims that he has been receiving threats and therefore, requires protection. 3.

A perusal of the petition indicates that according to the petitioner he

has been receiving threats since March, 2013 and has sent several representations to the concerned authorities. 4.

Considering that the petitioner has been receiving threats since the past several years, prima facie, it does not appear that the threats issued to the petitioner are of any substance. Nonetheless, this Court considers it apposite to direct the SHO of PS Amar Colony and the SHO of PS Mandir Marg to evaluate the petitioner's threat perception and provide him such security as they consider necessary. This direction is being given considering that the petitioner's residence is located within the jurisdiction of PS Amar Colony and his office is located within the jurisdiction of PS Mandir Marg.

5.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 6.
