This is a petition filed by the Petitioner - Bharat Petroresources Limited under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Arbitral Tribunal which is a three member Tribunal. It is submitted by ld. Counsel for the parties that the matter is at the stage of final arguments and the Claimant's arguments have concluded.

It is stated that the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted pursuant to Notice of Arbitration dated 9th July, 2021 issued by the Petitioner. The first procedural order dated 4th March, 2022 was issued and first sitting of the Arbitral Tribunal took place on 25th March, 2022. Ld. Counsel for the Respondent submits that he has no objections. In this view of the matter, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by another six months, i.e., till 2nd September, 2024. 5.
