By way of the present writ petition, the petitioners seek the following reliefs:
<a) Direct the Respondent No. 2 (Commissioner of Police, Delhi) and the concerned SHO to provide immediate protection to the life and personal liberty of the Petitioners during the pendency of the present writ petition in the interest of justice;
b) Appropriate directions may kindly be passed to the Respondents for not taking any coercive action/steps against the Petitioners during the pendency of the present writ petition in the interest of justice;= 2.
This Court vide order dated 16.03.2026 had directed the petitioners to provide details of the address at which they are presently residing in Delhi 3.
Pursuant to the aforesaid directions, the petitioners have filed an application being CRL. M.A. 8175/2026, brining on record their present address.

This Court has heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Additional Standing Counsel for State/respondent. 5.
As set out in the petition, the petitioners had left their hometown i.e. Raniwara, Jalor, Rajasthan on 25.02.2026 and had gone to Jaipur, Rajasthan. They both got married in Jaipur at Arya Samaj Mandir and also got their marriage registered on 26.02.2026. It is further stated that on 27.02.2026, both the petitioners came to Delhi, due to apprehension of threat to their lives from their respective family members. In these circumstances, they have filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid reliefs. 6.
This Court notes that the petitioners have inter alia prayed for protection of their life from their family members, since allegedly, they are being threatened with dire consequences as the petitioners belong to different caste. The right to life and liberty is a cherished Fundamental Right guaranteed by the Constitution of India and the instant case merits a careful indulgence of this Court in ensuring the same. 7.
Keeping in view the sensitivity of the present matter and submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are directed to provide their address and mobile numbers to the SHO and concerned Beat Constable of Police Station Pahar Ganj, and the concerned SHO and Beat Constable are also directed to provide their mobile numbers to the petitioners. They are also directed to provide necessary assistance/protection to the petitioners, as per law, in case the need so arises. Further, in case the petitioners start residing in jurisdiction of some other police station within Delhi, SI Arun Kumar, Police Station Pahar Ganj, will inform the SHO of such other Police Station, of this order, so that his mobile number and that of Beat Constable concerned can also be shared with the petitioners herein for The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, states that he is satisfied with the above arrangement.

It is clarified that this order was passed in presence of the learned ASC for the State as well as the Police Officer from concerned Police Station.
