This is a petition under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter the Act) seeking extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal for further period of six weeks. 2.

Mr. Samiron Borkataky, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that statutory period of 12 months expired on 09.09.2025. Thereafter, parties mutually extended the mandate of the arbitral tribunal by further period of six months until 08.03.2026 under Section 29A(3) of the Act. The extended mandate of the arbitral tribunal has expired on 08.03.2026.

It is submitted that the Special Leave Petition being SLP Nos. 1509615097 of 2025 filed against the order passed by this Court referring the disputes to arbitration, is pending consideration. 4.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown. Accordingly, the mandate of arbitral tribunal is extended for another six months. 6.
