The present petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, inter alia, seeking directions to the concerned police station to provide adequate security to the petitioners.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had an inter-faith marriage due to which the family of Petitioner No.1 is threatening the petitioners. 5.

He submits that the petitioners had visited the concerned police station, however, no action has been taken. 6.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, however, disputes the said contention. the petitioners visited the police station in this regard. 7.

She, however, fairly submits that the present petition would be treated as a complaint and appropriate action would be taken. She further submits that if need arises, protection would be provided to the petitioners.

She further submits that the mobile number of the concerned Beat Officer would be handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioners today and the petitioners can contact the Beat Officer, if the petitioners feel any threat or intimidation from the family members of Petitioner No. 1.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed at this stage, however, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the Court in case any grievance remains. 10.
