The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be granted parole for a period of two months to look after and take care of his brother, who is suffering from tuberculosis and other ailments and to arrange funds as there is no other person to look after him. 4.

The petitioner was released on parole for a period of two weeks by an order dated 17.12.2019. The petitioner has since surrendered, however, he states that his brother is still suffering and requires to be attended to.

Mr Kundu, learned ASC submits that the petitioner has already made an application to the concerned authorities but the same has not been considered, as yet.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of by directing the competent authority to consider the petitioner's application and communicate its decision as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of two weeks from today.
