The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No. 65/2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Nangloi, Delhi on the ground that parties have settled their disputes. 2.
Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the matter is at the stage of investigation and the present petitioners are the only accused persons.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that all the petitioners are present except petitioner No. 1, who could not appear in the Court today on account of some personal difficulty.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that they have entered into a settlement on 01.04.2013. A copy of the same is annexed as Annexure P-2 with the petition. In terms of the settlement, the parties have already been granted divorce by mutual consent on 17.03.2016. A copy of the same is CRL.M.C. 278/2018
annexed with the petition. In terms of the settlement, respondent No. 2 is now left with no claim whatsoever against the petitioners. 5.
The petitioner Nos. 2 to 9 who are present in person, are identified by their counsels and the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.2, who is present in person, is identified by the Investigating Officer. 6.
Respondent No. 2 states that she has entered into the settlement with her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties are bound by the statements made in Court today. 9.
In view of the above facts and since the disputes are matrimonial in nature, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. It is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of alongwith pending application. 11.
Order dasti to the counsels for the parties.
