CM(M) 60/2020 This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a direction to the learned Trial Court to expedite the adjudication of the Divorce Petition being HMA No.569/2015 titled Vineet Mehra vs Jyoti Lakhtakia pending before the Court of the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Patiala House, New Delhi.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has been cross examined for almost 16 hours with 313 questions being put to him. The cross examination is still not complete. It is further stated that the petition is pending since 2015.

The learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, submits that the respondent has been cooperating and would further

cooperate in expeditious disposal of the Divorce Petition. In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is requested to ensure the expeditious disposal of the Divorce Petition. The petition is disposed of in the above terms, with no order as to costs.
