This is a petition seeking direction to the State Authority /Respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner No.1 and her husband i.e. petitioner No.2 who are alleged to be in danger from the family members of the petitioner No.1.

Both the petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by the IO concerned namely ASI Sunil Kumar, PS Punjabi Bagh. 3.
The petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 have been married on 17.02.2025 and in this regard, marriage certificate has been placed on record. 4.
The father of the petitioner No. 2 has registered a complaint on 10.02.2025 which is being looked into by the Police. 5.
In the present case, I am of the view that both the petitioners are consenting adults and having themselves out of their own free will, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Mr. Khatri, learned ASC appearing for the respondent No. 1 states that it is the duty and responsibility of the Delhi Police to ensure safety, security and liberty of every citizen and the petitioners are no exception.

The respondent No. 1 is bound by the statement made by the learned ASC.

The mobile numbers of the petitioners will be shared with the SHO, PS Moti Nagar who shall ensure that the Beat Officer as well as the SHO shall take appropriate action on the telephone call of distress or a complaint of distress made by the petitioners. 9.
With these observations and directions, the petition is disposed of.
