By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 05.03.2024.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has an objection on the ground to the effect that the respondent No.1 has challenged the arbitral proceedings itself. petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from today. Further, the period lapsed from 05.03.2024 till date is regularised.
