% 28.02.2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29A (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 ('A&C Act'), the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal that is seized of the disputes between the parties for a further period of six months.

Mr. Tarun Johri, learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the prayer made.

The record shows that the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal was last extended vide order dated 05.09.2023, made in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 348/2023 by six months, which period ends on 28.02.2024.

Vide order dated 24.01.2024, the learned Arbitral Tribunal has setdown the matter for rejoinder arguments on 14.03.2024 and 15.03.2024, and has directed the parties to apply for extension of its mandate by a period of six months.

The matter is evidently, almost on the verge of conclusion. 7.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed; and the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended, as prayed-for, till 31.08.2024, with a request to the learned Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the proceedings by that time.

The petition is disposed-of, in the above terms. 9.
