O R D E R

% 28.02.2020 Vide this petition, petitioner is seeking quashing of order of 2nd December, 2019 passed by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Home (General) Department, vide which his application for grant of parole has been rejected by the competent authority. In addition, petitioner is seeking parole for three months for medical treatment and look after of his old and ailing mother.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel informs that in terms of last order, verification report dated 21st February, 2020 has been placed on record by respondent/DRI confirming that petitioner's mother is under treatment in Cardiology Department of OPD Care , Unit-II, SSH, Jammu. The aforesaid verification report dated 21st February, 2020 is supported W.P.(Crl.)177/2020

by affidavit of Mr.Pradeep Kumar, Intelligence Officer, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Headquarters, New Delhi. Heard.

In view of the above, this application is allowed and in the interest of justice, petitioner is granted parole of one month from the date of his release on his executing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned trial court, subject to following conditions:

i) The petitioner shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working conditions at all the times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

ii) The petitioner shall report to the concerned Station House Officer (SHO) on every Monday at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole;

iii) The petitioner shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and iv) The petitioner shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendent. The application stands disposed of accordingly. Dasti.
