The instant writ petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking parole. Status report is on record. 2.
Nominal Roll dated 21.01.2018 reveals that the petitioner was convicted under Sections 302/201/120B/34 IPC and was sentenced to undergo RI for life with fine `25,000/-. Crl.A. 212/2012 was dismissed by this Court on 14.09.2012. Nominal Roll further reveals that the petitioner has already undergone twelve years, six months and seven days incarceration besides remission for two years, five months and five days as on 21.01.2018. It further reveals that he is not involved in any other criminal case and is not a previous convict. His overall jail conduct is satisfactory. Earlier he was granted furlough on various occasions and there are no allegations of its misuse.

In the interest of justice and for the reasons mentioned in the writ petition, the petitioner is granted one week parole from the date of his release, on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of `25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/CMM/Duty Magistrate. After completion of parole period, the petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent. 4.
Writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 5.
