The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 CrPC seeking direction to the respondent to release the petitioner on second spell of furlough for a period of two weeks.

Notice was issued on 28.02.2024 with a direction to the State to file a status report. A status report dated 27.02.2024 has been handed over in the Court and the same is taken on record.

A perusal of the said status report shows that during the pendency of present petition the petitioner was granted furlough for a period of two weeks subject to the conditions mentioned therein. 4.

availed the said furlough and thereafter, he has even surrendered on 15.03.2024.
