The petitioner had filed a writ petition on an earlier occasion being W.P. (CRL) 1364/2021 seeking sanction for prosecution of officers - one of them being Registrar, Cooperative Societies. The other officers against whom the sanction was sought were the persons appointed to assist the Registrar in terms of Rule 3 of the Delhi Cooperative Society Rules, 2007.

The writ petition was disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner. It is not disputed by any of the parties that the sanctioning authority for prosecution of the concerned officers would be the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor.
