O R D E R
The matter is taken up today as 28.05.2026 was declared a holiday on account of 'Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid)'.

Respective counsel for the parties inform that a settlement has been arrived at between the parties; a copy of the settlement agreement dated 29.05.2026 has been handed over during the course of hearing. Let the same be filed in the Registry of this Court. The same, inter-alia, provides as under:- "2. That it has been mutually agreed between the parties that the First Party shall pay unto the Second Party sum of Rs.8,25,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Crore and Twenty Five Lakhs only) in full and final settlement of all the claims of the Second Party. The said amount of Rs.8.25 crore (Rupees Eight Crore and Twenty Five Lakhs only) shall be payable by the First Party to the Second Party for all the claims of alimony, permanent, interim maintenance, spousal support, residence etc.
That pursuant to the payment of the said amount, all the claims of the Second Party qua the First Party shall stand extinguished in law and the Second Party shall not in future file any case, action, claim for claiming the maintenance, alimony under any enactment either for herself. The First Party shall pay a sum of Rs. 1,50,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore and Fifty Lakhs only) at the time of recording of the present Settlement Deed The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
before the Hon'ble High Court on or before 29.05.2026 when both the parties shall give a statement before the High Court of Delhi to remain bound by the present Settlement Deed.

It is also agreed between the parties that the balance payment of Rs.6.75 crores (Rupees Six Crores and Seventy Five Lakhs only) shall be made to the Second Party within a period of six months from the date of execution of the present Settlement Deed/MoU, which period may be mutually extended but not beyond eight months from the date of execution of the present Settlement Deed/MoU and simultaneously the parties shall also record their statements for Second Motion of Divorce. It is also agreed between the parties that the First Party shall pay Interest @ 7.5% per annum on the balance amount of Rs.6.75 crores (Rupees Six Crores and Seventy Five Lakhs only) on a pro rata basis from the date of payment of first instalment of Rs.1.5 crores until the date of final payment."

It is submitted that a sum of Rs.1.5 Crores is being paid to the respondent today by way of a demand draft in terms of clause 2 of the aforesaid settlement agreement. It is further submitted that the remaining payment shall also be released in terms thereof. 3.
It is undertaken by the respondent (who is present in person) and on instructions by the learned counsel for the petitioner (who represents the petitioner), that the parties shall remain bound with the terms of the aforesaid settlement agreement dated 29.05.2026. 4.
Taking on record the said settlement agreement and binding the parties thereto, the petition is disposed of in terms thereof.
