LPA 49/2020 This appeal is directed against the order dated 19.12.2019 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P. (C.) No. 10381/2019. The learned Single Judge has dismissed the said petition in view of the fact that the charge-sheet dated 02.12.2016 - which culminated in the punishment order dated 22.01.2019, has already been appealed against by the appellant/ petitioner before the Appellate Authority and the said appeal is still pending.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the departmental appeal was filed on 28.01.2019 and another appeal was filed on 22.05.2019. However, the said appeals have still not been disposed of and the appellant‟s prospects for promotion are being adversely affected. Learned counsel for respondent No. 1 is present in Court.

We dispose of this appeal with a direction to the respondents to decide the pending departmental appeals of the appellant within the next three months.
