CRL.M.C. 1929/2026 By way of the present petition filed under section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the petitioners seek quashing of case FIR No. 170/2019 dated 31.07.2019 registered under sections 380/406/420/506/120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC') at P.S.: Vasant Kunj North, South West, Delhi. upon completion of investigation, offences under sections 380/420/467/468/471/506/120B IPC have been alleged vide chargesheet dated 29.07.2025. 2.
The petition is premised on Settlement Deed dated 21.02.2026 whereby the petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 and 3 have resolved the matter amicably.

The petition is also supported by affidavits of the petitioners and of respondent Nos. 2 and 3, alongwith proof of their IDs. 4.
Petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 in court and petitioners Nos. 2 to 6 and respondent No.3 have joined the proceedings via videoconferencing. Their credentials have been verified and they have also been identified by their respective counsel.

The court has interacted with respondents Nos. 2 and 3, as also with petitioners, who have confirmed that they have now resolved the matter and a Settlement Deed dated 21.02.2026 has been signed by them closing all issues amicably; and Rs.14 lacs has been paid in court today to respondent No. 3 in compliance of the terms of the settlement deed. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 confirm that all aspects of the settlement have now been performed. Parties now wish to live in peace and harmony going forward.

Ms. Richa Dhawan, learned APP confirms that the State has no objection to the subject FIR being quashed.

In the circumstances, in line with the law laid down by the Supreme Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab & Anr. reported as (2012) 10 SCC 303 as also in Narinder Singh & Ors. vs. State of Punjab & Anr. reported as (2014) 6 SCC 466, this court sees no reason why the subject CRL.M.C. 1929/2026 Page 2 of 3 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
FIR and all proceedings emanating therefrom should not be quashed. This court is of the view that in light of the settlement between the contesting parties, continuing with the subject FIR and all subsequent proceedings would be an exercise in futility and would not be conducive to peace and harmony between the parties. 8.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 170/2019 dated 31.07.2019 registered under sections 380/406/420/506/120-B IPC at P.S.: Vasant Kunj North, South West, Delhi is quashed. All proceedings arising therefrom also stand closed.

Petition stands disposed-of.
