O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 0249/2019 under Sections 279/354(D)/509/34 of the IPC, registered with PS R. K. Puram and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed. 2.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no. 2 is present in the Court and is identified by the

Investigating Officer.

She had reported that while she was travelling on Africa Avenue Road in Delhi, the petitioners, who were in car, had misbehaved with her. Thereafter, they had also hit her two-wheeler with their car. She had alleged that the petitioners had also used vulgar language and had made certain obscene remarks.

Respondent no. 2 states that she has since compromised all her disputes with the petitioners and does not wish to pursue the FIR in question.

The petitioners are present in the Court and are identified by their counsel. They tendered an unqualified apology for their conduct and further volunteered a payment of ₹50,000/- to the High Court of Delhi (Middle Income Group) Legal Aid Society. They further undertake that they shall not misbehave with any woman and ensure that the dignity of all women is maintained.

In view of the undertaking and the statement made by the concerned parties (petitioners and respondent no.2), this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition, subject to the petitioners depositing the costs, as volunteered, within a period of two weeks from today. 6.

Accordingly, subject to the aforesaid, FIR No. 0249/2019 under Sections 279/354(D)/509/34 of the IPC registered with PS R. K. Puram and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. 7.

The concerned parties (petitioners and respondent no.2) shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of their statements recorded therein.
