O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 155/2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 ('A&C Act'), the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal which is seized of the disputes between the parties. 2.

Learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the prayer made. 4.

The record shows that the first hearing before the learned Tribunal was conducted on 19.03.2021; an extension of mandate by mutual consent was granted by the parties to the learned Tribunal, as recorded in order dated 05.10.2023, for 06 months which expires today, i.e. 29.02.2024; and vide order dated 04.12.2023, the learned Tribunal records that the claimant shall file an application seeking extension of the mandate for a period of 01 year and that the respondent shall cooperate in it. 5.

The proceedings are stated to be at the stage of recording claimant's evidence.

Upon a conspectus of the averments contained in the petition and the submissions made, the petition is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal by 01 year from today, i.e. 29.02.2024.

The petition stands disposed-of in the above terms. 8.
